Recirculated Liquids with Suspended Solids
Wanner Hydra-Cell Pro® reliably pumps liquids with no fine filtration required.
Suspended solids in a liquid can present many challenges in pumping, especially sub 10 micron particles which can effect dynamic seals in rotating parts and increase packing wear. Such particles can be present due to recycling of liquids and can be present in liquids such as acids, caustics, isocyanates, phosphates due to crystallisation when exposed to water, air or cold temperatures. These conditions often mean pumps with dynamic seals, such as centrifugal pumps used in chemical transfer, need seal flushing.
Suspended solids can also present challenges for metering and dosing pumps with vertical, orientated ball valves building up on the valve seat causing maintenance.
The Hydra-Cell pumps combination of seal-free, packing-free design and spring actuated horizontal disc check valves handles liquids with suspended particles reliably, even heavily laden slurries.
